02.02.2017 - Ready for 2017!
The Canadian University Team is ready for what is shaping up to be an exciting upcoming year! Student rider Nations Cup competitions are already organised for Belgium (April 14-16), Romania (June 16-18), German (August 4-6) and Switzerland (October 20-22). Please note that rider registrations for 2017 are now due and paid members will have priority for team selection. Keep and eye on our Facebook page for updates here.

11.12.2015 - Sign Up to Represent in Germany!
Less than one week remains before rider registration ends for AIEC-SRNC World Finals Germany. If you want to represent Team Canada at this event, contact your National Responsible or Technical Director NOW.

01.23.2015 - 2015 Starts in Belgium
The 2015 SRNC season will kick off with a time-tested favourite as the Nations Cup returns to Leuven, Belgium for Easter weekend. The competition will run Apr 2-4, 2015. Riders interested in attending should contact CURCA officials to declare their intent. Please note that the OC has capped the number of supporters per country to three (3). Therefore, if you wish to attend as a supporter, you are encouraged to get in touch without delay. Registrations open Monday.

01.12.2015 - Superb End to 2014... Roll on '15!
Canadian stars shone brightly at AIEC-SRNC World Finals USA, held in Wellington, Florida over New Years. In the silver league, Canadian riders won every gold medal placing available with Jennifer Peters (Oldies) winning both Individual Dressage and Overall and Canadian teammate Katlyn Hudema topping the Show Jumping Individual rankings. Way to go!

11.14.2014 - Team Set for Florida Finals
Registrations for AIEC-SRNC USA have closed. Congratulations and best of luck to our official team for the World Finals; Maddy Riddle, Cierra Chimiliar and Katlyn Hudema. Those CURCA members wishing to support at this competition have until the 28th of November to declare their intent to do so. Please contact Susan or Jen if you wish to attend this competition.

09.21.2014 - Registration for France, Notes about World Finals USA
Registrations for AIEC-SRNC France have recently opened. If you are interested in attending this competition as either a rider or supporter, please contact your National Responsible or Technical Director for details. This is the last Nations Cup competition before the World Finals in Wellington, Florida. Please note that the team for Florida will be selected based on annual performance at 2014 competitions.

06.28.2014 - Great Britain Closing Soon
Registrations for AIEC-SRNC Great Britain close on July 11. If you are interested in competing for Team Canada at this competition, please contact your CURCA execs!

01.04.2014 - Happy & Golden New Year!
Congratulations to Team Canada who had a brilliant end to 2013 at recent AIEC-SRNC World Finals Belgium. The Canadian trio of Clementine Yost, Mariola Slawinski and Katlyn Hudema and Chef d'Equipe, Jennifer Peters, topped the standings of the Silver League competition taking the Team Gold Medal overall and rocketing the Canadian contingent into the competitive Gold League for 2014. Congratulations to all and we wish our CURCA members the happiest of new years!

10.05.2013 - Belgium for New Years!
The Belgian student riders have rallied and put together a year end Nations Cup to be held in Aalter, Belgium from December 29th to January 1st. Rider registrations close November 22nd and supporter spaces are limited. Contact your NR or TD to find out how you can attend as part of Team Canada!

07.24.2013 - Register for Ireland!
Registrations for AIEC-SRNC Ireland have recently opened! The competition runs from October 3-6, 2013 in Cork, Ireland and features a bonus hunt for interested participants. Spaces will close fast so contact your National Responsible or Technical Director for more details on how to attend!

05.02.2013 - CURCA is Romania Ready & Registrations are Open for AIEC-SRNC Sweden
Congratulations and best of luck to riders Maddy, Cierra and new CURCA member Mariola all from Alberta who are heading overseas at the end of May to represent Team Canada at AIEC-SRNC Romania.

All members should note that registrations for AIEC-SRNC Sweden (June 27-30th) are currently open and will close on May 17th. We are still looking for two riders to complete a Canadian team. Any riders who wish to attend should contact Jennifer Peters as soon as possible to sign up.

01.10.2013 - Belgium Registrations Open
HAPPY NEW YEAR from all of us at CURCA! What better way to start of 2013 properly than with a fabulous Student Rider Nations Cup competition?! Well... AIEC-SRNC Belgium registrations have opened! The competition will run in Leuven, Belgium from March- 14-17, 2013. Please contact Jennifer Peters or Susan Horn to sign up to attend. Please note that 2013 membership fees must be paid prior to registrations.

09.19.2012 - AIEC World Finals 2012 Announced
AIEC has announced that the 2012 World Finals will take place this year in DrÝbak, Norway. And if that's not exciting enough, the Norwegian OC is also organising a student riders Ski Trip to open the competition. Registrations open October 22nd. If you would like to be considered as a participant (rider or supporter), please email Jennifer Peters to register.

08.06.2012 - Spain Registrations Open
After a last minute hiccup, SRNC Spain has been rescheduled and relocated to Santander, Spain for October 11-14. Registrations are now open. Individuals wishing to represent Canada in either a riding or supporting role should contact NR Jennifer Peters to sign up.

03.22.2012 - A Great Start to 2012
Team Canada started the 2012 competitive year in style taking home 4th overall Team Combined at recent AIEC-SRNC Belgium. Individual placings also included a 7th overall combined for Cierra Chimilar and a bronze medal in show jumping for Susan Horn. Nicely done, ladies!

03.12.2012 - AIEC-SRNC Romania Registrations Open

01.09.2012 - SRNC Belgium Registrations Open
Registrations have opened up for AIEC-SRNC Belgium (Leuven). We already have a full team registered but may still be able to sign up additional riders. If interested in attending, please email National Responsible, Jennifer Peters (julip_32@hotmail.com)

01.02.2012 - Canada Ends 2011 on a Golden Note
Team Canada wrapped up 2011 in style at recent AIEC-SRNC World Finals Great Britain. Riders Evin Ballantyne, Susan Horn and Jennifer Peters all put in superb show jumping rounds but it was in the dressage arena where the trio really found its foothold. A strong team test performance coupled with an individual 4th for Susan propelled the team to overall Team Gold. A fine send off! Bring on 2012!

10.19.2011 - Registrations Open Soon for World Finals 2011
Registrations for 2011's year end finals, to be held in Great Britain from December 29th to January 1st, will open on October 24th. All interested riders and supporters are asked to contact either their NR or TD to nominate themselves for the competition. We wish to have a team assembled ahead of the October 24th deadline so please contact your execs as soon as possible.

09.20.2011 - Team Canada Takes Show Jumping Gold
Team Canada recently dominated the show jumping division at AIEC-SRNC Italy and returned home with the Gold Medal. All three team members kicked in for the victory with each advancing to at least second round. Congratulations also to Holly Hayman for claiming the individual Silver. Canada's strong SJ performance boosted them additionally to the Silver Medal for Team Overall. Molto bene!

07.15.2011 - Membership Dues & Incentives
Information regarding constitutional changes to membership dues have been posted on the Membership page. Effective immediately, all members who pay their annual membership dues by February 1st will receive a discount of $25. There is also a new incentive program in place to encourage recruitment of new members. Please take a moment to review these changes and feel free to contact your executives with any questions you may have.

Registrations for AIEC-SRNC Italy (Sardinia) have opened and sign up has begun. To attend, please contact National Responsible, Jennifer Peters. Historically, this competition has been popular and has filled quickly. If you would like to attend, please inquire as soon as possible to apply as a rider or supporter. CURCA is pleased to welcome two new members to our organisation, Cierra Chmiliar and Maddy Riddle, from Alberta. These new riders will be representing Canada at upcoming AIEC-SRNC Spain in August. Best wishes!

Rider and supporter registrations have opened up for AIEC-SRNC Spain (Bilbao) to run between August 11 - 14, 2011. Please e-mail Jennifer Peters to nominate yourself to attend.

04.30.2011 - AIEC-SRNC Netherlands
Registrations for AIEC-SRNC Netherlands (De Mortel) have opened and will remain open until May 13th. CURCA was unable to send a team to upcoming SRNC Romania so we are looking to form a competitive trio for Holland. Please contact Jennifer Peters ASAP to sign up to compete.

03.10.2011 - Board of Directors Appointments and Changes
The organisation regrets to announce that long-time member and previous National Responsible, Caylee Villet, has elected to step down from her position on CURCA's Board of Directors. We wish her the best of luck in her riding and non-riding persuits. CURCA would also like to annouce that Becky Steer has decided to reliquish her position as Training Co-ordinator but pleased that she wishes to continue to serve on the CURCA board. Other changes include the addition of current Technical Director, Susan Horn, to a board position. Congratulations!

01.11.2011 - AIEC-SRNC Ireland Officialised
SRNC Ireland 2011 has been officially confirmed by AIEC. The competition will run March 17th through 20th in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Registrations open on January 17th, 2011. If you wish to attend, please email NR Jennifer Peters to nominate yourself as an attendee. Please note that paid members will have priority for team selection and that all fees must be paid before registration is possible. There will be no exceptions to this rule. 01.06.2011 - 2011 Membership Fees
Please be aware that 2011 membership fees are now due. Please send payment of $85, late fee of $100 after February 1st, to Becky Steer (30 Gardenvale Cres, London, Ontario N6J 4B9). Please make all cheques payable to CURCA. New this year, you may also wire funds directly to CURCA or use our new paypal account. E-mail your Financial Director at fd@canadianstudentriders.com for more information on these last two options.

08.01.2010 - WUEC Team Announced
CURCA is proud to announce the official team to be submitted for the World University Equestrian Championships to be held October 28th - November 3rd in Sangju, South Korea. Our congratulations and best wishes go out to Brittany DesCotes, Jaclyn Duff and Holly Hayman for their selection for this prestigious event.

07.20.2010 - Canada Dominates in London
Team Canada took home (just about all of the) awards at recent AIEC-SRNC Canada held in London, Ontario. Six Canadian riders rose superbly to the challenge of competing on the home front and put in winning performance after winning performance. Team Canada clinched every single gold medal as well as numerous other honours. Check back soon for full coverage down of their successes!
